History and tradition
Arts New Orleans launched LUNA Fête in 2014 as a free public celebration of light, art, and technology. The festival became known for large-scale projection mapping, interactive installations, and illuminated public spaces; the rescheduled 2026 presentation is identified by the organizer as the 12th LUNA Fête.

Back to all eventsThe 12th edition runs from 5:00–10:00 PM nightly and is free. This is a multi-block downtown festival, not a single venue: Gallier Hall at 545 St. Charles Ave and Piazza d’Italia at 377 Poydras St are the two anchor locations, with installations along the route.
