Access & assistance
Accessibility
Nola Street Beat wants visitors to be able to read local information, explore photographs, make inquiries, and download photos. Accessibility is part of the ongoing work on this website.
Statement updated: October 4, 2026
Request help or report a barrier
If something on the site is difficult to use, email nolastreetbeat@gmail.com with “Website accessibility help.” You can request help finding event information, choosing or downloading a photograph, or sending a photography inquiry.
Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and how you would prefer to receive the information or assistance. Details about your browser or assistive technology can help identify the problem, but are optional. You do not need to provide medical information.
You can email directly if the contact form is difficult to use.
Using the website
Pages use headings, links, and labelled controls. A “Skip to content” link appears when focused by keyboard near the start of public pages. You can use your browser’s zoom and text-size controls. Photo viewers provide labelled previous, next, and close buttons in addition to touch gestures.
Keyboard users can move through links and controls with Tab, move backward with Shift + Tab, and activate buttons with Enter or Space. Escape closes an open photo or download dialog.
Ongoing review
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as guidance when improving the site. Reviews include page structure, labels, keyboard interaction, visible focus, and browser zoom. This statement does not claim certified conformance to a particular accessibility standard.
The site includes large photography galleries, and image descriptions vary. Ads, payment checkout, and linked external websites are supplied by third parties and may work differently with assistive technology. Please report any difficulty so we can review the affected feature or help you another way.
