Information & your choices
Privacy & cookies
This policy explains how Nola Street Beat handles information when you browse nolastreetbeat.com, send a message, request a photo, make a payment, or sign up for updates.

Information collected
Messages and submissions
The contact form collects your name, email address, Instagram or Facebook contact, message, and a submission reference. The social contact provides a backup way to reply if email delivery fails. An email-domain check helps detect addresses that may be unable to receive mail.
Event and community-board forms collect the email address and details you enter, such as an event name, date, time, location, link, or message. Submitted event and community information may be reviewed and published. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in material intended for publication.
Photo downloads and payments
Free-photo requests and private-code deliveries collect your email address, the selected gallery and photo, request or delivery status, and timestamps. Records can also include acceptance of photo-use terms, private-code redemption information, and an optional email-update preference.
Payments take place through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your payment information. Nola Street Beat receives information needed to fulfill and track the order, including your name, email address, amount, currency, payment identifiers, payment status, and selected photo. Full card numbers are not stored in the website’s order records.
Email updates
The subscription form collects your email address and selected notification preferences. If you choose the optional updates box when requesting a photo by private code, the website records that choice and when it was made. Requesting a free photo or making a payment does not by itself subscribe you to updates.
Visits and technical information
Hosting, analytics, and other services receive technical information when your browser contacts them. This can include your IP address, requested pages, browser or device information, referring page, and the time of a request. Photo-request protection uses a hashed version of the client IP address to limit repeated requests.
How information is used
Information supports replies to inquiries, review of submitted content, payment processing, photo delivery, customer support, protection against abuse, and understanding how people use the website. Subscription preferences and optional opt-in records support requested event and gallery updates.
The website also publishes event photography and stories. If you have a concern about a photograph or information appearing on the site, contact Nola Street Beat with the page address and relevant details.
Service providers
The following services support the website and may process information for those functions:
- Netlify hosts the website, receives form submissions, runs website functions, and stores order and photo-delivery records.
- Stripe processes payments through its hosted checkout.
- Resend sends inquiry confirmations and photo-delivery emails.
- Dropbox stores original photo files and provides temporary download links. Opening a download can send technical request information to Dropbox.
- Google provides website analytics and advertising services on selected content pages.
- Open-Meteo supplies New Orleans weather. Your browser requests weather for a fixed New Orleans location; this feature does not request your device’s precise location.
Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their linked policies explain their own handling of information. External websites, including social-media and event-organizer links, have their own policies when you visit them.
Advertising
Nola Street Beat loads Google AdSense on the homepage, About page, articles, and event pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits here or to other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet, subject to applicable settings and consent choices.
Where a Google privacy message appears, use its controls to review advertising partners and manage your consent choices. You can return to the Privacy choices page from any public page’s footer to find Google’s available consent and opt-out controls. Available controls depend on your region and the active Google message.
The separate Privacy choices page loads Google’s code for those controls and is excluded from ad placements. This policy page does not load Google Analytics, AdSense advertising, or a consent message. Gallery pages, contact pages, and purchase pages do not load AdSense advertising.
Advertising services may also use information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Learn more about Google advertising technologies and partners. Any additional advertising provider introduced to the website will be described in this policy.
You can opt out of Google’s personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also manage participating third-party vendors’ personalized-advertising choices through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out page. Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily remove ads or prevent information used for measurement, security, or basic ad delivery.
Your choices & requests
To stop email updates, email nolastreetbeat@gmail.com with “Stop email updates” and the address you subscribed with, or reply to an update requesting removal. Photo delivery, order support, and responses to your own inquiries are separate from optional updates.
For questions about your information, or to request access, correction, or deletion, email nolastreetbeat@gmail.com with “Privacy request.” Include the email address used and enough detail to identify the relevant inquiry or photo request. Please do not send card numbers, passwords, or private photo-access codes.
Nola Street Beat may need information to verify that a request concerns your records. The response will depend on the records involved and applicable requirements, including information that needs to remain for payment, accounting, dispute, or security purposes. Rights available to you may depend on where you live.
Records & security
Information can remain in form-submission records, photo and order records, correspondence, and service-provider systems. Retention varies with the type of record and provider. An expired photo-download link does not automatically delete the associated order or email record. Contact Nola Street Beat to ask about a specific record or request deletion.
The site uses HTTPS, protected administration, and restricted photo-download links. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep private photo-access codes and download links private, and contact Nola Street Beat if you suspect unauthorized use.
