True Food Kitchen closes its New Orleans restaurant

The St. Charles Avenue restaurant is among 12 locations that ended service October 4 as the chain restructures.

True Food Kitchen’s New Orleans restaurant has closed as part of a dozen closures across the chain. Chron’s October 5 report lists New Orleans among the locations identified in court documents.

The restaurant was at 801 St. Charles Avenue, the address listed in True Food Kitchen’s New Orleans dining brochure.

In its company announcement, True Food Kitchen says the 12 restaurants had their final service on Sunday, October 4. It has filed for Chapter 11 protection and plans to pursue a court-supervised sale as part of its restructuring.

The company says its other 34 restaurants remain open. The New Orleans closure belongs to that initial group of 12, so customers planning to eat at the St. Charles location should make other arrangements.
