NORD is accepting applications from community and nonprofit organizations for its 2027 summer camp partnerships. Applications are due November 13 at 5 p.m., according to the commission’s published announcement.
This application round is for camp operators and service providers. Families looking to enroll children in camp will need the separate child registration process.
Applicants must attend one technical assistance workshop:
- October 14, 10 a.m. to noon, in the Milne Recreation Center multipurpose room.
- October 28, 2 to 4 p.m., in the same room.
- November 10, 5 to 7 p.m., at Treme Recreation Center.
The sessions explain expectations and the application timeline. NORD requires two years of relevant programming experience and certification where necessary. Onsite staff and volunteers must complete child abuse awareness training and provide proof of NOPD background checks.
