Early voting for the November 3 election begins Tuesday, October 20, and ends Tuesday, October 27. The Louisiana Secretary of State’s election calendar lists daily hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Sunday, October 25.
The City of New Orleans currently lists four early voting locations for Orleans Parish:
- City Hall, 1300 Perdido Street, Room 1W24.
- Algiers Courthouse, 225 Morgan Street, Room 105.
- Voting Machine Warehouse, 8870 Chef Menteur Highway.
- Lake Vista Community Center, 6500 Spanish Fort Boulevard, second-floor meeting room.
Check the state’s official voting information for the current location list and voter lookup before making your trip.
The state says voters do not need a reason to vote early. Bring accepted photo identification, such as a Louisiana driver’s license or state identification card. Voters without an accepted photo ID may identify themselves by signing a voter affidavit, according to the Secretary of State. For local questions, the Orleans Parish Registrar of Voters lists 504-658-8300.
