Running of the Bulls 2026
The streets of downtown New Orleans came alive for the 20th edition of San Fermín in Nueva Orleans, the city’s unmistakably local take on Pamplona’s famous Running of the Bulls. Beginning at Gallier Hall, crowds dressed in traditional red and white moved through the city while roller derby skaters played the “bulls,” chasing runners with playful swings of plastic bats. This gallery captures the early-morning energy, bold costumes, laughter, movement and joyful chaos that transformed a Spanish tradition into a celebration only New Orleans could create.
