Mermaid Parade 2026

Mississippi Riverfront, New Orleans

Sequins, sea creatures, and a little riverfront mischief: the Mermaid Parade brought a splash of make-believe to New Orleans on September 5. Krewe du Fool’s fourth annual celebration filled the promenade with mermaids, pirates, and handmade costumes. This gallery catches the faces, details, and joyful moments along the way, where a Saturday by the Mississippi became its own kind of Carnival.
