The first confirmed Social Aid and Pleasure Club parade of the 2026–2027 season begins and ends at Tapp's, with neighborhood stops across Central City.
Start and first stops
The parade begins at Tapp's, 2800 South Rocheblave Street, then moves along Washington Avenue, South Galvez Street, and Jackson Avenue. Early stops include Academy Lunch Break at 2811 Jackson Avenue and Men of Class Social Aid and Pleasure Club at 2611 Philip Street, where the club plans a tribute to Leon “Bam Bam.”
Central City route
From Philip Street, the procession turns through Magnolia, Third, LaSalle, and Washington. Scheduled stops include Rufus Place, the Valley family and friends at Second and Dryades, and 2802 Magnolia Street before the parade returns to Tapp's.
Planning your visit
The parade is scheduled for 3:00–7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, respect the club and the band, and recheck the official route page because street conditions can cause last-minute changes.
